Holly Frean was commissioned to paint a set of playing cards to commemorate the King’s Coronation on May 6th 2023. The original hand, titled Windsor Flush, is painted in gouache on five individual handmade cotton rag papers, arranged to reveal the faces of the five most recent monarchs of Great Britain: King Charles, Queen Elizabeth II, George VI, Edward VII and George V. This beautifully produced, signed, limited edition print of Windsor Flush is signed by the artist and commemorates our current moment in history. It will appeal to Holly Frean’s collectors, social commentators, historians, art lovers and card players alike.
