This medievally-inspired oil and gold painting on lead 'flag' is a homage to the artist's dog, Bluebell the greyhound. Famously mosaic'd on the floor of Roman houses as a warning, especially in Pompeii, sometimes with a little illustration of a fierce guard dog - or a hilariously gentle greyhound in this case - to beware of the dog! It can be hung on the wall using looped hooks on the reverse, or carefully manipulated to stand alone on a shelf. For collectors, dog lovers and philosophers alike, this is a rare chance to acquire an original Frean from the artists online shop.
