Holly Frean's original painting of the same name (oil on wooden panel, 10 x 30cm) was made for her 2016 exhibition at Paul Smith's flagship London store and depicts Hockney's eureka moment just before he paints his 1967 Californian poolside painting, A Bigger Splash.
