FRAMING TIP: to achieve a trompe-l’œil effect so that the pugs appear to float up from the paper, we recommend using a simple charcoal stained box frame, dry mounting the print and setting it back from the glass with white slips matching the background as far as possible. Museum grade non-reflective glass will give it extra protection and ensure the print lasts many decades to come and prevent reflections if hung near a light source.
